Black Friday, Cyber Monday (2015 - 2018)
Amazon Social Advertising

Contributions: Creative Direction, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Graphic Design, Production

Every November Amazon kicks off the holiday season with a countdown to Black Friday, the biggest sale of the year, followed promptly by Cyber Monday. This is the busiest time of the year for everyone at the company as it’s when most teams reach their goals for the year. I worked closely with the entire marketing and engineer team to support business initiatives and maintain cohesive branding across all social media platforms and as we expanded our advertising to new markets across the world.

Social Advertising & Dynamic Image Generation

I collaborated with software development engineers to develop a dynamic image generation (DIG) tool that could pull in any product from Amazon.com, crop the padding and determine the aspect ratio of that item. Based on the output, the tool is able to decide whether to generate an image using the vertically oriented or horizontally oriented templates that I would create for each ad placement we supported. The tool would evolve over the years as we built features like dynamic text fields to include product titles and pricing, as well as the ability to sample the color of the product, which could dynamically be applied to any element of the creative.
